Lars Struck, the Director of Photography for Molar, grew up in Florida before making his way to get a masters in film at USC. An avid music-head and ex-punk, he combines a keen observation of the technical with the free creative mobility found in so much of the music he loves. He photographed two features, Molar and (insert film), and is in prep on two other features, Band of Dreamers and (insert film) later this year.
Cyrus Gill, producer and original composer of Molar, crew up in Santa Ynez, California, raised by two hippy artists. Besides composing multiple short films such as Hotel Kerosene, Man Under Painting and SWARM, he is a multi-instrumentalist and has written, produced and composed many solo albums under his given name. You can find him on Spotify, as well as the albums Spinning is Winning (2018), Rainbow Delay (2020) and Pantone (2022). He has multiple music videos on the way and an entire accompaniment album to be released with the film next year.
Josh Birdsell, key grip, gaffer and all around electrical wizard of Molar, is also an aspiring feature director with many glorious short films under his belt.An astounding blend of mind and body, Josh can rig a set about as fast as he can climb a mountain-face.
Nick Batanides, first AC on Molar, pulls focus like a sniper. An LA native, our ambassador to the valley, he went to school for film at Pepperdine and is currently hard at work writing his next feature and doing the final touches on various self-directed short films. He shoots on film and knows his way around a camera better than anyone we know. He is a multi-hyphenate and a soon to be household name.
